Overview

Our medical organization has a division whose sole mission is dedicated to community service by acting as a public health advocate for cardiovascular health and providing free public health screens and health education to the general public and qualified organizations. These health screens identify persons who are at risk for cardiovascular disease, which is the #1 cause of morbidity and mortality in the United States. Our mobile team is comprised of NYS Licensed Nurses and Ultrasound Technicians who utilize the “gold standard” Framingham Heart Study Algorithm as well as state of the art ultrasound diagnostics in their risk assessment. Participants who are identified to be at risk are counseled and educated in appropriate follow-up care specific to their personal needs and requirements. Educational pamphlets published by the most authoritative organizations, including: The American Heart Association, The Society of Vascular Surgery, National Institute of Health, etc., are also provided.

Vein Care of New York is affiliated with The American Heart Association as an active professional member. The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency to help reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Our program has helped identify countless individuals who were previously unaware of the serious medical conditions for which they require follow-up care. We have provided health screening services to to the vast network of New York State Parks and Beaches in addition to numerous organizations including many labor unions affiliated with the AFL-CIO, School districts, Postal workers, Police and Firemen etc.
